Anne Hathaway’s smouldering performance as Catwoman has proved to be one of the most popular elements of The Dark Knight Rises. Immediately giving rise to speculation that her costume clad cat burglar Selina Kyle could get her own spin off movie.

Warner Bros are clearly eager to explore ways to continue the franchise, despite Christopher Nolan’s determined insistence that The Dark Knight Rises would be his final Batman related film, at least as a Director. Here’s what Anne Hathaway has to say on the subject though:

“I think it would be lovely to see more of her but only if it’s with the right people. She lives in this Gotham City and so it would have to be established by the people who have made this Gotham City. For me, at least.”

While it seems clear that fans wouldn’t object to seeing her slip on the skin-tight catsuit again, it remains to be seen whether or not Nolan or his fellow producers would be willing to contribute to producing or scripting a new Catwoman adventure.
