X-men: Days of Future Past has fans excited for many reasons, but one very big reason is seeing the Sentinels finally brought to life on screen. Widely celebrated as one of the most iconic images from the comic books and successful animated TV series the Sentinels are giant robotic policemen ill-advisedly deployed by a desperate humanity in an effort to protect themselves.
