Fruit Ninja Lined Up For Big Screen
With Angry Birds topping the box office, it seems this was inevitable. Now that Hollywood knows they can make money off of big screen adaptations of bestselling mobile games (at the time of writing Angry Birds has already made over $150 million worldwide), Tripp Vision have announced that they will be producing a live-action comedy adaptation of Fruit Ninja. The game, which centers around slicing fruit and not much else, is the second top-selling iOS game of all time and while the films plot details are yet to be unveiled, the screenplay is reportedly being written by J P Lavin and Chad Damiani whose previous work include adapting the upcoming Robert Zemeckis production of How To Survive A Garden Gnome Attack.
