Warner Bros. may have decided on the villain for its superhero team up film Justice League. The studio has turned to Darkseid, an intergalactic super powered super villain not entirely unlike Thanos the big bad in the Avengers 2. Warner Bros. are very keen to emulate the success of Marvel’s blockbuster franchise The Avengers, but in fairness Darkseid is one DC Comics most prominent villains outside of the familiar Batman bad guys.

Darkseid is the evil immortal ruler of the planet Apokolips, determined to eliminate all free will from the universe using a mysterious ‘Anti-life Equation’. He’s just about powerful enough to take on Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and Green Lantern.
