Jersey Boys Trailer
Check out the first official trailer for Clint Eastwood’s big screen adaptation of Broadway and West End musical sensation Jersey Boys. The film, like it’s on stage predecessors, documents the rise to stardom of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Packed with memorable musical hits and dramatic to camera monologues it’s certainly an interesting change of pace for Eastwood.
Mrs Doubtfire Getting Unlikely Sequel
Robin Williams and Director Chris Columbus are reportedly both tentatively attached to an unexpected sequel to 1993 comedy ‘classic’ Mrs. Doubtfire. Elf screenwriter David Berenbaum is apparently already at work on a script for Fox 2000 that will somehow adequately explain why Williams needs to yet again pretend to be an elderly Scottish nanny.
The Rover Trailer
Robert Pattinson continues his post-Twilight re-invention with the unrelentingly gritty trailer for The Rover. Animal Kingdom writer/director David Michôd takes audience on a dark journey into a grim Australian wasteland in which Guy Pearce plays a man determined to chase down the thieves who took his car. Pattinson plays one of the gang abandoned and injured during the carjacking, but ‘persuaded’ to help Pearce viciously track them down.
Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly Reteam
Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly will once again combine their buffoonish charms for new comedy Border Guards. Directed by Adam MacKay and with a script courtesy of Oscar nominated comedy scribe Jesse Armstrong the new film will focus on a pair of hapless but earnest friends who decide to give purpose to their lives by protecting America’s borders from illegal immigrants. So basically expect Will Ferrell to shout at people in Spanish… a lot.
Hans Zimmer Talks Superman Sequel Soundtrack
Hans Zimmer has unsurprisingly confirmed that he plans to follow up his current work on Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar with work on the next Superman/Batman sequel soundtrack.
“We’ve already had a couple of chats, and once I finish [Interstellar] I will probably head over to where Zack is shooting his movie and just hang out a bit and see if we can come up with any idea”
As for whether the new score will feature any of his previous iconic scores for the Dark knight Trilogy the award winning composer was quick to dismiss the idea of reusing material.
“I don’t want to betray, if that’s the right word, the Dark Knight movies. That was Christian, it was Christian’s role.”
