Saoirse Ronan On Avengers 2 Rumours
Actress Saoirse Ronan spoke to Red carpet News TV at the London premiere for new animated movie Justin And The Knights Of Valour about recent casting rumors linking her to a part in the Avengers sequel Avengers The Age of Ultron.
Many sources had been reporting that the pretty young actress was Director Joss Whedon’s lead choice to play new hero the Scarlet Witch.
However whilst admitting that she’d love to be in the Marvel franchise, Saoirse confirmed that she hasn’t in fact been offered the role and won’t be in the sequel. He reaction and enthusiasm for the franchise seems to suggest that reports claiming she had been offered the part only to decline it, forcing the studio to move onto Elizabeth Olsen may be wide of the mark.

Roland Emmerich Reboots Stargate
Stargate Director Roland Emmerich plans to reboot the franchise on the big screen with a new trilogy of films. Seemingly the disaster movie maestro isn’t convinced that the first film and over 354 episodes of several spin-off TV series has satisfied audiences desire for Ancient Egyptian themed alien adventures.
“We went to MGM, who has the rights, and we proposed to them to do a sequel, but as a reboot. Reboot it as a movie, and then do three parts. That’s what we’re doing right now, and pretty soon we’ll have to look for a writer and start.”
Emmerich had long held onto hopes of making a straightforward sequel to the original film, but has admitted that’s no longer an option:
“I originally wanted to make [the original Stargate] a trilogy. But now, after all this time, I couldn’t do a trilogy anymore, because the actors look totally different, and it would not work.”
RoboCop Remake Trailer
Check out the first official trailer for the long gestating RoboCop remake from director Jose Padilha. Starring Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Keaton the new film gives a predictably glossy polish to the familiar tale of Paul Verhoeven’s ultra-violent 1987 original.
At least now we know who to blame for the bad idea of re-painting the iconic grey Robosuit a charmingly generic shade of Batman Black… Michael Keaton… it was all Michael Keaton’s fault.
Tom Hiddleston replaces Benedict Cumberbatch in Crimson Peak
Guillermo Del Toro recently lost Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch from his forthcoming haunted house thriller Crimson Peak. However he has now reportedly secured Avengers and Thor star Tom Hiddleston as his replacement.
Handsome star Hiddleston will now join Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasiowska and Charlie Hunnam in the cast. Emma Stone was previously attached but as with Benedict Cumberbatch she quickly departed, only to be even more swiftly replaced by Mia Wasikowska.
Production will start in January giving Loki more than enough time to develop a healthy fear of Ghosts.
Jared Harris Joins The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Cast
Mad Men star Jared Harris is set to re-team with Director Guy Ritchie after joining the cast of The Man From U.N.C.L.E reboot. Harris previously played the villainous Professor Moriarty in Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes sequel A Game Of Shadows.
The growing cast of the new spy thriller now includes Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer in lead roles, with Alicia Vikander as female lead and Hugh Grant as the head of British Naval Intelligence.
