Man Of Steel General Zod Message

Director Zack Snyder and producer Christoper Nolan are set to reboot the Superman movie franchise with  Man of Steel. The film sees Henry Cavill stepping into the familiar boots and flowing red cape as the iconic superhero, while Michael Shannon will be playing the villainous General Zod. Check out the ominous teaser trailer below that features a dire warning from Zod to the people of earth and Superman. Hopefully the real film will have less static than this sinister threat.

MTV Movie Awards 2013 Winners List

The MTV Movie Awards 2013 dished out the usual  fair share of memorable moments and golden popcorn bucket awards. Bradley Cooper and The Avengers were among the night’s most prominent winners. Emma Watson was given the Trailblazer Award, Will Ferrel was awarded the Comedic Genius Award, and Jamie Foxx took home the Generation Award.

Our favorite winner on the night was the ever charming Tom Hiddleston, who collected Best Villain for his scene stealing performance as mischievous Loki in The Avengers. Collecting his well deserved prize the dapper British star gave a shout out to Liam from One Direction for naming his dog Loki. The always modest star Tom teased that the well named canine was almost certainly  better bred an more well known than himself.

The night’s other most memorable moments were arguably a bizarre stage invasion by Aubrey Plaza during Will Ferrel’s acceptance speech. The Safety Not Guaranteed star attempted to grab his award apparently as part of some sort of ill-advised Twitter related stunt. Rebel Wilson gave a musical performance as the awards  hostess and Seth Rogen stripped off in front of Zac Effron wearing a giant merkin. The first trailer for Hunger Games Sequel Catching Fire also made it’s debut.

Hunger Games Catching Fire Trailer

The first trailer for The Hunger Games Sequel Catching Fire made it’s debut at the MTV movie awards. Once again the film stars Jennifer Lawrence as reluctant heroine Katniss Everdeen and Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark. Having emerged victorious from the 74th annual Hunger Games, Katniss and Peeta may have inadvertently inspired a revolution through their small acts of defiance. Now they find themselves firmly targeted by the evil Capitol and tyrannical President Snow.

The new trailer gives fans a first glimpse of Philip Seymour Hoffman as dangerous new villain Plutarch Heavensbee alongside the return of familiar faces like Liam Hemsworth ( Gale Hawthorne) Woody Harrelson (Haymitch Abernaty) and Elizabeth Banks (Effie Trinket). The first teaser trailer also indicates a much more epic scope than the first film in the series.
