New Rogue One Trailer Surfaces Online

With a little over four months till we get our next fix of Star Wars in the form of Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One, a new trailer has been revealed to whet our appetites. The film follows a mission set between Episodes III and IV which sees Felicity Jones’ Jyn Erso lead a group to steal the plans of the Death Star. Also joining Jones is Forest Whitaker and Ben Mendelsohn as well as Mads Mikkelsen.

More news as we hear it of course, but for now check out the latest trailer below. There may be a familiar face/breathing noise…

Doubts Cast Over Jump Street/MIB Crossover

Jonah Hill has thrown doubts over the planned Jump Street crossover film with Men In Black. Talking to the Toronto Sun during the promotional trail for his upcoming film War Dogs, Hill said ‘I had the idea, but I doubt that movie will ever get made… The Jump Street films were so fun to make and the whole joke of them was they were making fun of remakes and sequels and reboots and then now it’s going to become a giant sequel, reboot. It’s almost become what we were making fun of and it’s hard to maintain that joke when it’s so high stakes.’

There has been no comment yet from Sony so for now it’s still very much in the plans for the crossover, which is currently titled MIB 23, with James Bobin still attached as director. These doubts from one of the franchises main stars is worth considering whether the film will go ahead as planned though. More news of course as we get it.

David Fincher Linked To World War Z 2

The upcoming sequel to 2013’s World War Z looks set to reunite Brad Pitt with his Fight Club director. The project previously had Juan Antonio Bayona set to direct before he jumped ship in order to direct the upcoming Jurassic World sequel. According to reports, Fincher was initially ‘lukewarm’ to the idea two weeks ago but now ‘negotiations are much further down the road’. While it’s not confirmed just yet it seems producers are confident that Fincher will jump on board with no offers made to any other directors yet.

More news as we get it but for now, production is expected to begin early next year with a release date scheduled for June 9th 2017. Though the fact that a director hasn’t been officially hired yet hints at a possible delay in release.
