Spielberg Postpones Robopocalypse
Steven Spielberg has ‘indefinitely’ postponed his adaptation of Robopocalypse due to concerns over Drew Goddard’s script and a prohibitively expensive budget. Chris Hemsworth and Anne Hathaway were already attached to star but Spielberg has put a sudden halt to the project, insisting that the script ‘is not ready’ and the project is ‘too important’ to rush into production.
As Spielberg prepares to collect an array of awards for his magnificent historical biopic Lincoln the future of Robopocalypse looks unclear at best. For the time being the genius director says it’s ‘back to the drawing board to see what’s possible’.
