William Hurt Dies Aged 71
Oscar winning actor William Hurt has sadly passed away at the age of 71. He leaves behinds a legacy which includes decades of screen stardom and award winning iconic performances in numerous classic films.
Hurt won his Oscar for his work starring alongside Raul Julia in groundbreaking prison drama Kiss of The Spider Woman in 1985. He was Academy Award nominated again for star turns in Children Of A Lesser God (1986), Broadcast News (1987) and A History Of Violence (2005).
A younger generation of fans will also remember him for his ongoing work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross since debuting as the comic book character in The Incredible Hulk.
