MCM London Comic Con This Weekend
MCM London Comic Con hits the town this weekend for a full three-day festival of gloriously geeky entertainment …and the latest edition of the world’s third largest comic con also boasts our strongest ever guest line-up. Headlining the Excel event are Kunal Nayyar (Raj) and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette) from smash hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory and Jesse Eisenberg, who stars as Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network.
Joining them are a galaxy of stars from sci-fi, fantasy and superhero series, including Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D‘s Elizabeth Henstridge, Luke Mitchell and Nick Blood; Arrow‘s Katrina Law and Willa Holland; Being Human‘s Aidan Turner, Russell Tovey and Lenora Critchlow; Sleepy Hollow‘s Tom Mison; Agent Carter‘s Lotte Verbeek and John Noble (Fringe, Elementary, Lord of the Rings).
Then there’s Patrick Fugit, Philip Glenister, Reg E. Cathey, Wrenn Schmidt and Kate Lyn Sheil from upcoming horror drama Outcast; Roger Ashton-Griffiths, Josef Altin and Hannah Waddingham from fantasy epic Game of Thrones; and Kris Holden-Ried, Rachel Skarsten and Zoie Palmer from the critically acclaimed Lost Girl. Palmer will also be appearing with her co-stars from new sci-fi series Dark Matter – Melissa O’Neil, Jodelle Ferland and Roger Cross.
Also meeting fans are the inimitable Warwick Davis (Star Wars, Harry Potter); Erin Richards (Gotham); Amanda Righetti (Colony); Robert Llewellyn (Red Dwarf); Poppy Drayton (The Shannara Chronicles); Rebecca Breeds (The Originals); Neil Jackson (Quantum of Solace, Blade: The Series); Andrew Lee Potts (Primeval) and Doctor Who‘s Peter Davison and Sophie Aldred.
Moving on to different genre, we also welcome a strong crime contingent in the shape of Scottie Thompson (NCIS); Eric Christian Olsen and Daniela Ruah (NCIS: Los Angeles); and Hélène Joy and Thomas Craig (Murdoch Mysteries). Meanwhile, the world of animation gives us Adventure Time‘s Jeremy Shada, Venture Bros. creator Jackson Publick, anime director Michael Arias and staff from Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin III, whose EU premiere takes place at Comic Con.
Games guests include voice of Lara Croft, Camilla Luddington; Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate star Paul Amos. We’re also hosting an exclusive VR panel featuring two brand new VR games as they are presented to an expert panel, including: David Wilson, Director of Communications, SCEE; Jo Twist, CEO UKIE; Imre Jele, CCO Bossa Studios; Patrick Luanaigh, CEO NDreams; Alex Moyet, Commercial Strategist at Media Molecule and Joel Breton, VP of Global VR Content HTC Vive.
Finally, turning to online stars, we’re thrilled to welcome Meg Turney, Tomska, The Yogscast, Ashens, Jack And Dean, Eddsworld and our friends from UK festival Summer In The City, plus many more. And of course it wouldn’t be Comic Con without a host of top-notch comic book talent, including Dave Gibbons, Bob Layton, John McCrea, Gary Erskine, Yishan Li, Lee Townsend and John-Paul Bove.
